The third wave of data collection of the Cohort ‘18 study began in September, taking place when the children of the mothers who joined the study became 18 months old. In this wave of research, we would also like to learn about the opinions of fathers about raising children, as part of a telephone survey.

The Hungarian Demographic Research Institute, however, adapting to the emergency caused by the pandemic, has suspended the collection of data through personal inquiries. According to this, the data collection of the third wave of the Cohort ‘18 Growing Up in Hungary, which examines families raising an 18-months-old child, is being paused for the time being. Nevertheless, the research remains ongoing with the processing of results collected so far, the development of data replacement options, and with the planning of future data collection waves.
